This book shows Atwood#8217;s innovative writings skills and thematic concerns in detail. However, Atwood#8217;s feminist, ecological awareness and eco-feminism are concerned mostly by the public. Huang Meilian writes in her paper #8220;Roads Taken by Women of Their Own Will through by Margaret Atwood#8217;s Novels#8221;: #8220;Margaret Atwood always depicts the cruel reality to remind women of their abject and miserable life and urge them to become self-consciousness.#8221;In her paper #8220;The Surfacing of An Eco-feminist Awareness#8221;, Wu Xiana points out : #8220;Atwood is one of the first Canadian novelists who profound the women-nature relationship with a combination of feminist and ecological perspectives.#8221; Foreign scholars have done some thorough researches on The Edible Woman as well. The famous American modern feminist critic Elaine Showalter says that the works of Atwood are suitable for feminist courses.
